Life Insurance

Protection for the people who count on you.

Life insurance is a promise that the people you love will be financially steadier if something happens to you. We help you sort out how much you need, for how long, and which type fits your budget.

Term and permanent, in plain terms

Term life insurance covers you for a set period, such as 10, 20, or 30 years. It is usually the most affordable way to protect income, a mortgage, and young children during the years they depend on you most.

Permanent life insurance is designed to last your lifetime and may build cash value over time. It can play a role in final expense planning and longer term goals. It also costs more than term coverage for the same death benefit.

Neither type is automatically better. The right answer depends on what you are protecting and for how long.

How much coverage is enough?

A useful starting point is to add up what you would want handled: income your family would lose, debts such as a mortgage, future costs like education, and final expenses. Then subtract what you already have in savings and existing coverage.

We will run those numbers with you honestly. Buying more than you need wastes money. Buying too little leaves the real risk uncovered.

A note on approval and cost

Applications involve health questions and, for some policies, a medical exam or records review. We cannot guarantee approval, a specific premium, or cash value performance. What we can do is help you apply for coverage that fits your situation and explain each step before you commit.

Common questions

What happens to my life insurance when I retire?

Coverage you own personally stays with you. Coverage through an employer often ends or shrinks when you leave. That gap is one of the most common reasons people call us around retirement.

Can I get life insurance if I have health conditions?

Often, yes. Different carriers look at health histories differently, and some policies are designed for harder to insure situations. We will be honest about what is realistic.

Do I need life insurance if my kids are grown?

Maybe, maybe not. Final expenses, a spouse who depends on your income or pension, and leaving a cushion behind are common reasons people keep some coverage.
